This deck is a collective project of the art collective "Karte - mesto". The idea is to recreate the plot through the hierarchy of characters of Pushkin's fairy tale "About Tsar Saltan, his son Guidon and the beautiful Swan Princess" in the framework of a deck of cards.

The deck has 36 cards, the circulation is 240 copies, each deck comes with a numbered certificate.

The fairy tale "About Tsar Saltan..." is one of the best Pushkin fairy tales, familiar to everyone from childhood. It combines literary and folklore motifs, which makes it especially interesting for research and illustration. We build a hierarchy of characters based on their influence on the plot and relate them to cards of different values. Thus, Prince Gvidon, the strongest of the characters, a typical epic hero, becomes an ace, Saltan is a king, the Princess is a queen, the Shipmen with their colossal influence on the plot are jacks, the prince's mother takes the place of a ten, and her scheming sisters are nines. Following them, the rest of the characters take their places up to the Barrel (a six, a card that can beat an ace, because it is in the barrel that the baby Gvidon and his mother are placed). The deck has many funny references, literary and graphic allusions, for example, the Squirrel refers to the Golden Doe from an old cartoon, one of the Gvidons is dressed in a European dress (the name "Gvidon" is of European origin and is borrowed by Pushkin from a translated story) and many others.
