This deck of cards is a collective project of three artists, originally created as an exhibition for the Open Club museum. The idea is to recreate the plot and hierarchy of characters from the fairy tale "About the Priest and His Workman Balda" within the framework of a deck of cards. Interpreting Balda as a trickster, one can assume what card he could become. The ace, like our hero, has a polar nature ─ the highest and lowest at the same time. The ace beats the king, but the ace is covered by a simple six ─ the same spelt for which Balda is hired into service. Thus, Balda, and after him other characters of Pushkin's fairy tale, take their places in the deck of cards ─ and the game begins. Each suit has its own author and its own visual style, and the fourth (hearts) was drawn by three authors at once. The cards are hand-cut and packed in a cardboard case.
